The Story of Megu and Begu

Once upon a time there was a community of monsters that lived in a grassy knoll. These were not the sort of monsters that one usually think of. This particular group was unique because of their commitment to peace. These monsters never terrorized and nor scared other small monsters; instead they farmed and lived quiet and quaint lives in their corner of the meadow. This came to an end after the Great Storm. It destroyed their crops and left their community starving in the middle of the dry season. Desperate to find food their two bravest; brothers Megu and Begu set off in search of food for their dying town. They ventured far past the long river, through the great wood, and out of their lush meadow to a place where the monsters were tall and walked on two legs. These monsters had hair on top and all that them had two eyes. The weirdest part about these monsters was that when the brothers approached they would run away screaming. After about an hour of walking through a town of these monsters a large mob with iron horses and sirens tackled them and put them in a desolate jail. The brothers pleaded for them to let them go but the monster could not understand their tongue. The monsters were poked and prodded for weeks and shot with flash arrows all day until the brothers found a hole in their enclosure. They seized the opportunity and squeezed out. They ran with all their might but the monsters caught up with Megu. They shot him with something that made his arm fall off. He screamed in agony “GO ON WITHOUT ME” but Begu could not leave without his brother. He tried frantically to get his brother to move but he could not. When the monsters started to gain on their position, he ran as fast as he could past the great wood, through the long river, and into the rising sun.
